The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers: name, contact details and charisteristics of Volunteers
  • Personal identifiers, name, contact details and charisteristics of Recipients of our services.

 

How we get the personal information and why we have it

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you (either in person or using our website or email) for one of the following reasons:

  • To maintain a register of volunteers
  • To provide a service to the community (recipients or customers) by matching volunteer skills with recipient requirements as we are made aware of them.

We use the information that you have given us to match the needs of recipients of our services with the skills and abilities of volunteers.

A copy of our volunteer data is shared with Pavo, Powys Association of Volunteer Organisations as part of our membership of this organisation. Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO)

We do not this information with other organisations other than through aggregated reporting where individuals are not identifiable.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information

We keep contact details and any other information provided when applying to us to be a volunteers until we no longer need it. That is to say, unlike you cease volunteering and we no longer need the information for reporting or other statutory duties.  After this time, it will be marked for removal within 12 months.

Information provided by recipients, that is to say, people receiving the services of one or more of our volunteers will be treated in the same way.

Your information is stored in a password protected cloud.
