We have seen a massive increase in first time users of the Foodbank , a very sad indicator of how tough things are at the moment. This has resulted in a heavy demand for food supplies.
We are also running low on funds for our Fuel Poverty Scheme and with the current
increase in electricity prices this is an absolute lifeline for some of our clients. Any monetary donations received will go towards this.
Thank you as ever for your continued support – we couldn’t do it without you!
Are you interested in being involved in your local community and can you spare a few hours a month? The YVC is looking for people to become Trustees and to help set the vision and strategy for the Centre’s future. You will be joining at a very exciting time as YVC is starting many large scale projects from a brand new cafe and garden, through to a full curriculum of certificated and leisure courses and workshops. These are all designed to help and be helped by the community to take care of its members. We welcome anyone with skills to offer – but mainly we welcome people who want to get involved and join our dedicated team. If you are interested and for more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you to all of our lovely supporters, we couldn’t do it without you.
All donations greatly received. Thank you.
Please note, the Food bank will remain in operation and any pre booked courses will be going ahead as planned.
As many people will be aware there was a terribly unfortunate incident at the YVC on Tuesday. At this time matters are being dealt with by the relevant authorities and support is being given to all those affected. We have every expectation that operations will be up and running as usual as of the morning of Tues 16th November.
We respectfully ask people to allow the ongoing processes to take their course and to avoid any speculation as a courtesy to all those involved. Any essential enquiries can be directed to the YVC telephone line on 01639 845475 and staff and management will do their utmost to assist.
The best wishes of staff, volunteers and Trustees go out at this time to all involved either directly or indirectly and we apologise for any inconvenience to the wider general public.
H Jopling Treasurer and Trustee.
