The Gough Christmas Fayre

On Sunday 11th December, the YVC had a stall at The Gough Arms as part of their Christmas Fayre. Two beer-garden benches were set aside for our use, allowing us to display a wide variety of items from the Wood and Tool stores.

The trinket boxes (treasure chests) were a great hit and we sold more of them than anything else on the day, the type with the burning effect proving to be the most popular.

The bird feeders in the yellow box are an ingenious invention - a screw on base, and a handle to hang it from utilising an old coke or pop bottle as the holder for the feed. The base and handle cost £2.60 and the bottles can of course be replaced whenever they get too scummy.

A variety of trugs and other tool carriers are available from the Woodstore, and in this photograph you can see 3 different types.

The key cabinet, at the fore of this photograph, garnered a lot of interest during the day.
