Libanus - August Bank Holiday Weekend, 2011
On the Bank Holiday weekend, of 27th-29th August 2011, Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre had its usual stall at the annual Food and Craft Fayre held at Libanus Mountain Centre, in the Brecon Beacons.
A selection of garden furniture manufactured at the YVC's Woodstore, including a tasteful set incorporating lengths of blue fibreglass.
Looking at the front of the Volunteer Centre's stall, here we can see some of the refurbished tools, and also the hand-made rocking horse (or was it an alpaca!).
Brecon Town Concert Band entertained the crowds with some fantastic music during the course of the afternoons of Saturday and Monday. Featured amongst their repartee were "A Kind of Magic" and "Go West".
Candwr Cider had a fascinating stand, displaying an old-fashioned press, which they demonstrated with barrels of apples. Their cider had a strong apply taste to it, as well!
The YVC's stall, featuring amongst other things the little wooden men for the garden, a child's set of table and chairs, and some large painted wooden dice.
