Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the Sennybridge Show 2012 on the first Saturday in September. The weather stayed dry, and even quite sunny at times, and the crowds came in fair numbers. We had a lovely view of the equestrian competitions and events, and made steady sales throughout the day to raise funds for our projects.
Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the Brecon Beacons Summer Fayre at Libanus Mountain Centre over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Despite the torrential weather on the Monday, this was once again a great success, allowing us to sell craft items, wooden craft goods and garden items, plus refurbished tools from Ystrad Recycling in order to raise funds for the coming year.
Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the Cefn Coed Vintage Steam Rally, Crynant on the May Bank Holiday weekend for the third year in a row, with our refurbished tools and wooden craft items, from Ystrad Recycling.
Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the Sennybridge Show on Saturday September 3rd 2011 - and won the award for Best Non-Agricultural Trade Stand!
Once again, Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the annual August Bank Holiday Food and Craft Fayre at Libanus. Taking place over the three days of the August Bank Holiday, the YVC took a lorry-load of wooden craft items, reconditioned tools and assorted craft items to sell.
The annual plant sale at Cwmtwrch Welfare Halltook place on Saturday 15th May 2011.
Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre had a stall with wooden craft items and refurbished tools at the Vintage Steam Rally held at Cefn Coed Colliery Museum on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May, 2011.

Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre had a stall with wooden craft items and refurbished tools at the Christmas Fayre held at The Gough Arms public house on Saturday 11th December, 2010. There were a lot of stalls, including mulled wine and quality barbecued meat products, cakes and biscuits, handbags, cards, and jewellery. A pleasant day was had by all, with festive music and cheer.
The 8th annual Arts and Crafts Fayre organised by the Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre took place at the Welfare Hall on Saturday 4th December, 2010. Despite the severe icy conditions, a great day was had by all, with over 30 stalls selling everything from works of art to real Welsh honey, and from handmade cards and bags to Rudolph's Relish. Santa arrived in his sleigh with presents for children and was much appreciated.
Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the annual Swansea Green Fayre, over both days of the weekend of November 27th-28th, 2010. We took a wide variety of wooden items manufactured by the Woodstore, including new ideas such as key cabinets and a row of cloakroom pegs. A wide variety of refurbished and reconditioned tools were for sale, and a good weekend of trading and contact-making was enjoyed.
Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre attended the usual quartet of Summer shows: Libanus over the August Bank Holiday, and in September the Sennybridge and Ystradfellte Agricultural Shows, and the Sleeping Giant Foundation's Owain Glyndŵr Festival over the weekend of the 17th-18th September
