Cymru Versus Arthritis are looking for a Group Leader Volunteer in Ystradgynlais to provide support to people living with arthritis and gives them a voice. A volunteer is needed to plan and organise group meetings and activities. Promoting the Group in your local area with posters, local media opportunities and with local organisations. Engaging with Group attendees and encouraging new people to get involved. Sharing updates on group activities with you coordinator. You will be required 1 day a month at Cwmtwrch Welfare Hall. Induction training will be provided.

Fieldbay Ltd are based in Llansamlet and provide high-quality services for people who have complex needs associated with mental illness, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, dementia and long-term conditions such as Huntington's disease. They specialise in working with people that are regarded as too challenging for ordinary nursing and social care settings.

Vounteers are needed to help with a number of roles including: Befriending, talking and listening to Service Users Gardening Recreational Activities such as drawing, music, games etc. Helping out on different units Reading Helping out at different events Trips out into the community with Service Users Assisting with meal times.

The Girl Guides in Ystradgynlais are looking for leaders, unit helpers and occasional unit helpers for the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers (Girls are age 5+) Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Must be adults, positions available for both English and Welsh speakers.  Help Inspire the women of the future. Duties include running activities, planning trips and events, helping at sessions for either of the groups.

Joining the Guide Dogs community means that you will be helping more people with sight loss to live actively, independently, and well. There are a variety of roles that you can get involved with. Whether you can give a minute, an hour, or a lifetime we have something for you. You can work directly with the dogs or with people who are visually impaired. You can support raising awareness of their services, organise events and so much more.

Hafan Y Coed is a Spiritual Church with lots of grounds, also run as a B&B. Volunteers will get access to their services for free and a discount on courses. Volunteers travelling from far away have the opportunity to stay for free whilst volunteering, food and bed are provided for free.  Volunteers are required to assist with various projects in Abercrave, including Wood Coppicing, Carving Totems, and Caring for the Memorial Garden and to help at Festivals and Events. Food will be provided, free tea and coffee all day and travel expenses reimbursed.

Joseph’s Smile are dedicated to helping families where their child’s medical treatment or equipment is currently unavailable on the NHS. Joseph’s Smile aims to relieve some of this pressure by providing a grant system and support network to help families get the support that they need.

Volunteers are needed to be a stewards and marshals at local and national fundraising events.  Joseph’s Smile are looking for a team of graphic designers and videographers who could offer their time and skills to help families with their fundraising campaigns. Some families may need additional support with logos, posters, infographics and videos, and by volunteering, you could help relieve a lot of pressure and help boost their campaign efforts. You can also Volunteer to help become a collection box ambassador for your area.

We are seeking help from different people around the UK who can organise the distribution and collection of fundraising boxes from their local shops and community centres.   

Volunteers are needed to answer calls at the Youth Homeless Helpline and provide vital out-of-hours support for young people who find themselves without a safe place.  The helpline will operate between 5pm and 9am Monday to Thursday 5pm until 9am Friday to Monday. Llamau will provide a comprehensive training programme

Llangiwg Church / The Llangiwg Trust require volunteers to help with the general upkeep and opening of the building, and also with organising and spreading the word about activities, events and fundraising initiatives.

Need helpers to help look after rescued horses and ponies including general care of the ponies.   Fundraisers are needed to set up small groups to organise fundraising events.   

Digital Champion Volunteer to help customers with basic IT skills, job searching, universal credit and using different devices. Basic IT skills are required. Some training is provided such as Volunteer Induction and online digital champion training. Neath East Action Team needs volunteers to help with monthly litter picks and exciting environmental projects.
